Questo è il nome del terzo singolo pubblicato dalla Band britannica, i Muse l'1 Giugno che porta l'ominimo nome dell'album a cui appartiene.

Annunciato un live intimo in Italia all'Alcatraz di Milano il 26 ottobre 2022
L'ho ascoltato per la prima volta ieri, in auto mentre cercavo gli altri singoli da mettere in coda su spotify. L'ho adorata dal primo ascolto, un singolo molto orecchiabile ma anche molto tosto e forte sia significativamente che come genere, direi Glam Rock.
Non ho ancora letto niente a riguardo, ma dal video mi sembra che continuino la storia dell'album precedente Simulation Theory, avvalorato soprattutto dal trio realizzato digitalmente.
Penso anche che l'intero album ma soprattutto questo singolo voglia far aprire gli occhi alla gente e sia quindi un monito, un voler risvegliare le coscienze delle persone. Cosa ne pensate?

Quest'ultimo album, su loro stessa dichiarazione, è un album politico in cui si ritrovano i temi negli ultimi anni come la pandemia, la guerra, il ritorno dell'autoritarismo, i disastri naturali ecc.. andando ad esplorare l'incertezza che questi avvenimenti hanno generato, minando le certezze che in primis loro stessi avevano; infatti Matt Bellamy ha detto testualmente che "Questo album è un viaggio personale attraverso quelle paure e la preparazione per ciò che verrà dopo".
Quest'ultimo pezzo, che da il nome all'album, è quindi esattamente quello che dici tu, un monito per le persone di svegliare le loro coscienze e rendersi conto dei cambiamenti in atto e di prendere iniziativa per cambiare le cose.
Dal punto di vista delle sonorità, è un misto tra il loro classico glam rock con l'uitilizzo di un elettronica e di riff industriali dei vecchi album, non mi dispiace affatto, anche se sinceramente non avvertivo un esigenza di un loro nuovo album, ma la pandemia ha portato tutte le band del mondo a stare ferme e quindi tutte hanno fatto un nuovo album praticamente ahaha

Ah non avevo visto 'sto topic :V
Venerdì 17 ho visto i Muse live al Firenze Rock (btw primo concerto post covid e prima volta che vado a un loro concerto) e devo dire che è stata un'esperienza veramente unica.
Scaletta azzeccatissima, hanno scelto una buona parte delle mie canzoni preferite, tutti i singoli usciti del nuovo album e anche Kill or Be Killed in anteprima. Performance loro perfetta ovviamente, suonano meglio live che in studio di registrazione lol.
Inoltre ero nel pit e anche abbastanza vicino al palco, quindi me lo sono goduto al 100% e avevo una bella visuale su tutto.
N'somma ottimo concerto, ottima atmosfera, setting intrippante (col robottone che si muoveva dietro di loro, le fiamme che uscivano dal palco, le luci ecc ecc...) ma senza togliere il focus dalla band e alla fine ne sono uscito solo con qualche livido e forse un dente scheggiato.

Will of the people tra i nuovi singoli è la canzone che mi piace di meno tbh ma rimane comunque molto catchy..
